🔧 Installation, Step by Step
Every VanVolt pack can be self-installed by a competent DIYer following our supplied wiring diagram, or fitted by a VanVolt installer UK-wide.
Mount the battery securely in a ventilated compartment, ideally close to your main consumer/switch panel.
Fit the solar panel to your roof and route cabling through a weatherproof gland into the van’s interior.
Wire the MPPT controller between panel and battery, then connect the DC-DC charger to your vehicle’s starter battery circuit via a suitable fuse.
Install the switch panel, busbars and fuse block, then wire your 12V circuits (lighting, USB, water pump) through the fuse block.
Connect the inverter directly to the battery via appropriately rated cable and an inline fuse, then test each circuit individually before full use.
Fit the battery monitor shunt in-line with the battery’s negative terminal so it can accurately track all current in and out of the system, then pair it via Bluetooth to confirm readings before final close-up.
